been driving this thing all day because i'm going on vacation this week and wanted to take a rental rather than the e30.

avis upgraded me from the ford focus i requested because i'm a veteran, which was cool.

but having spent a day in this thing; how do people drive them? close-in visibility is shit, which makes parking and maneuvering in tight places suck, you can't see over the hood so you have to back up 10 feet to make sure you're out of the red zone (which resulted in the parking job you see here), and they are terrible on the freeway (i forgot what it was like to have to slow down for interchanges, and i thought a CHP was going to pull me over because i was weavy, i'm used to my car going where i point it).

My Moms 4Runner (from the late 90s) was pretty awesome for off-roading. Used to cause so much havoc in that car when I had it haha
