Dude, you only saw half of it. Evergreen Air and Space museum is in big trouble. There were screwy things done, people not paid and debts outstanding so they are having to sell off parts of the collection. The Spruce Goose might be one of those things (holy crap that thing is huge. Did you go inside?)

I was there when I bought my M3 and was on my way south with it. I wanted to check out the IMAX theater but had to get home. Took me 10 hrs from Evergreen to my garage.

Will, i havent edited the space side, but i did miss the IMAX due to time issues. I've heard they have had money issues so i made it a priority to get there this year. but if i go up next year, ill spend 8 hours there. i skipped all the outside planes and skimped on the choppers. but i did go inside the goose

is an e36 m3 auto to manual swap pretty much the same as an e30? or is there more complications, i know the price tag would be a little more i would assume...

you have to swap to a manual harness and reflash the DME (or get a manual DME and realign EWS) to do it right.

there's a less right way to do it (pull a chip somewhere) to get the auto stuff to work, but it won't be 100%.

              physically, similar to an e30.

1997 BMW 328i Automatic, when I purchased it back in January 2007! I bought this 2 owner 3 Series with only 86,000 miles on it. The car ran like a charm, exterior & interior were in excellent...

Here's a start, but personally I'd say find a manual car. Unless you want a specific car or get a smoking deal, but a manual e36 isn't exactly rare. To be fair you can get a good amount of performance with a 325 or 328 by adding cams and an LSD. Those are priced a little lower than an M3 too, but an m3 is reasonably priced these days for what you get compared to the non-m.

I bring this up because I started out with a 328 e36 and I should have just bought an m3 for marginally more by the time I am done (which will probably be never ).

Word pagemill is tight and bumpy. If you wreck you'll be in someone's front yard.

Highway 9 is the best place to start. Nice fast wide curves. Highway 84 is nice.

Redwood gulch one of my favorite drives but it's really bumpy and more traffic because of the mountain winery up there

theres an aplinewiess 4 door auto locally for like 3200.

i would never be able to own an auto unless it was like a truck, 7er, or just plain cruiser.

m3 in auto or any e36 besides 318 is a sin.

                          whos done an r134a conversion?
i need a parts list that is realistic, i have friends at bmw with access to r134a service tools so thats a plus.

ive been driving around in the e30, leather seats, in 115 degree weather for too many days.

                            I have. but it's costly.

R12 is also way more efficient, just harder to find. R134a converted cars typically don't blow as cold since they were designed for R12.

That said, AC is better than no AC...
