I mean I would, but at this point I'd like to have the car running soon. I'll order the parts tonight and see if I can't tackle it myself with some buddies. My buddy David did a whole head swap on his car so I'm really not too worried about the job. Maybe I can get away with casually running errands for them (get food, etc.) and make them do it haha!

i found a good coupe donor. gf and i are taking a look at it tomorrow. that said, i've got two other cars i can drive; garage is empty enough to pull it now, so let's set up a time. :)

Nope, still haven't had reason to pull the timing belt off. That being said I recently started leaking oil from the head gasket externally. I'm planning an engine rebuild in a couple years though.

I hate this m20. for some reason, even tho all new parts. great compression. this car is the slowest m20 i've built. i need a super eta bottom and a cammed top end. or custom 9.75:1 pistons on an eta crank.

I have a bit planned for my engine. I'm thinking I might keep it all under wraps until it's all done and then post a build thread.

On a side note I don't know if I'd already told you, but I'm doing the Auto Tech program at DeAnza now.

you'll need:
Gates/Graf water pump.
contitech timing belt kit.
timing belt tension spring 11311267746.
1 gl BMW coolant or buy it from me.
2gl distilled water.
Vbelts, if you want but good to replace them since them come out.
fan clutch, coolant hoses and radiator can be swapped if bad for free as well.
