I just checked to make sure Mason Engineering is still around. They are. I have their x-brace already, and if I go sedan I can run their rear reinforcement as well. Good products, you should take a look at those too.

        I just looked.
that shit is expensive, but it is very light weight and rigid looking. lots of cool unique pieces.

I'm absolutely getting a sedan next.

Two more job interviews this week, both for finance companies in SF.

Ok loliver, my garage is empty, we're a go from my end.

Danny, your car is awesome, but... there's nothing left to do to it. :( The only things I could upgrade it with are my reinforced subframes and maybe the Torsen diff.

Yeah that's where I'm at too which is why I'm on the fence about selling it.

I liked Danny's car but there is always more to do.

Namely, swap something cooler in, supercharge it, 6 speed swap etc.

Half the fun is the build for sure though. I love driving the black coupe and am really excited to put cool parts on it and make it nice(ish).

so changing my thermostat and temp sensors, my car got 2-3 mpg better. when i built the engine the tstat must have been bad or the senors causing the car to always run rich.
                      Much wow

True. It needs paint but my XJ needs more modz first.

Well in this particular case, it's just a matter of too many of the upgrades would be redundant or incompatible. We've both done camber plates/bushings everywhere and flywheel/clutch upgrade, his Massive brakes are awesome but I can't use them if I want to keep my 5-lug setup, list continues. Had he just dropped the S50 in and done springs/shocks/pads and called it a day, then I'd have somewhere to go with it, but as it is, if I start with his car, I'd either be undoing his work or wasting what I've already done, and I don't like either of those options.

I need the good luck to start where he did- with a clean and mostly unmodified M20 sedan.

We should do a Facebook event thingy for invites. You want to, or should I?

But yeah. Come on down this Sunday. Pulling my ITB'd M42 so it can go into Oliver's 2002, drinking beer, grilling, gran turismo with the racing seat, all that good shit. New place is in San Lorenzo (between San Leandro and Hayward).
