      I believe you use all the late I stuff. It's the same deal as a typical e to i conversion just with a different head.

              Oh no, not at all. You don't neeeeeed I pistons for the 885 head. But the combustion chamber shape on I heads is different because of the domed pistons that the 325i has, so when you slap an 885 head on stock b27 bottom end it drops your cr to around 8.xx. The 320i and 323i sixes across the pond have flat top pistons, so the combustion chambers are better matched to the b27(flat) pistons, and you get to keep a decent 9.xx cr. The boost comment I mentioned was cause a lot of people toss the 885 head on a b27 bottom end knowing it'll drop compression to a more boost friendly level.

                        I have a small e30 specialty shop and have done tons of swaps. Bolting the engine in is the easiest part.
