long post, PNW's attending: please read!!
1. good local night life on thursday nights (see below)
2. a pool at my house
3. MANY local e30 guys caravanning from here (me, justin b, cahomey, golde30, dredfan, e30pilot, and some other doods around the SF area)
4. Only 6 or so hours road time to SB from here (see below)
What we all did last time was leave here Friday, stay in SB overnight and go to the 'fest on Saturday, then stay overnight again and leave Sunday.
----------------------------
About the BayBimmerz caravan...
We left at like 4 in the AM on Friday and stopped in Pleasanton, then in Athernacaliamalistica er something, then in Gilroy, and then off to SB. After all the waiting for other car groups to merge and stuff and rolling into many frighteningly-swarmed In-n-Out's, it was 12 hours before we got to the hotel!! It was sweet to be engulfed in BMWs on the freeway, but the trip just dragged too long, like this post. Since you PNW people have already traveled so long, maybe a shorter ride down for this section would be welcomed.
About the proposed R3V Caravan...
I think Justin and I (and other r3v crew) have the better idea of making the r3v-focussed caravan happen this time. From my house, it is just over 6 hours says Google Maps. We can make a pit-stop itinerary (attn: Justin B) some other time, but what do you PNW guys think? Drive here, enjoy the night life, leave at a reasonable time, AND still meet up with plenty of r3v kiddies on the way down. Eh? Eh? Come on!!
----------------------------
Cliff Notes:
Washington crew drives to Oregon somewhere on Wednesday. Washington + Oregon crews drive together to Cali on Thursday and hang with the NorCal r3v crew overnight. All of us leave 10AM-12PM on Friday for an arrival around 6PM-8PM in SB. All times flexible of course.
I know a lot of people have their own time constraints and personal schedules to deal with, but having at least some of you guys down here TOGETHER would be tight... and the caravan would be easier and still a lot of fun.

Sounds good, i have to give up the intarwebz to a coworker to use on his laptop that can acutally play flash :) Anyway, off topic, but Ill post up later or when I get off work tonight. We're definately going to have a r3v caravan from here, if you all want to cruise down to meet with us, all the better!Comment

I'll be there with the E30 or if I get to pull the trigger on the 540/6 possibly.
Sucks that this year I was in SB during bimmerfest, but totally didnt know it was going on. I drove the 90 minutes to pick up my girlfriend from her week stay in the hospital, and noticed tons of BMWs. I just figured it was Santa Barbara, and thats what it is. Then going home seeing everyone leaving the show grounds...... It gave me a sad feeling to my stomach.
This year Im in, and I cant wait.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment
