They do make some amazing tacos though. ;)

You must not have been around in Mariano's glory days. There were meets in LA and only in LA. And to be serious, the drive from LA to the valley is a whopping 25 minutes at 7pm.

We also used to all get together and caravan to Orange County once a week every Sunday to do a WEEKLY SoCal meet involving LA, San Diego, OC, and sometimes Santa Barbara. Those were the fucking days. I d go to the meets all hungover. Then like 30-40 cars would end up doing various things on PCH, or go eat, or crash another meet. We crashed a Mercedes meet once. THAT was fun!!

Ya I second no on GMR. It's too twisty of a road for a bunch of cars to be rolling on.

I vote we meet in Sherman Oaks area, take the 405 South to Sunset. Then take a left on PCH and drive the coast all the way to Dockweiler Beach. We can take pictures in their huge parking lot, then BBQ over the bonfire pits, they don't even trip about alcohol! We could also get a game of football or ultimate frisbee going on! :mrgreen:
