Alright, well it was a hit last year. It was not a giant mob like the baybimmerz caravan, but there were still enough of us for everybody to have a good time. Even though I got a wicked sun burn on my forehead.

Why I'm doing this again-
Because last year's caravan kicked ass. We had a lot of fun, and it avoided most of the garbage I was trying to that was part of the BayBimmerz caravan that some of us drove in, in 2007.
Here's a snip of what I wrote about why I'm doing it last year to refresh. Last year's [2007s] BayBimmerz or whatever's caravan was a massive cluster fuck. It was not as much fun as it could have been. There were just TOO many BMW's, mostly late models, driving over their heads, and just like complete ass holes mobbing the whole highway as we siphoned through.
I want this to be different.
First of all, it already will be a smaller group of people. Not what seemed like hundreds. It also will be consisting of people who for the most part know each other already. Ideally there would be more respect on the road, as well as more of a tie between all of us to stay within a reasonable distance from each other. Nobody going balls out trying to be there first, and nobody left behind because everybody else just wants to have a shot at being out in front of a giant caravan. I want it to be kept to a reasonable size that it is still possible to work with everybody for the most part if they need to pull off to the side for something. Not necessarily that everybody would fit with them, but if it's something more serious, at least pull off at the next exit and let the rest of us know via cell phone if the two way radios don't have the distance to communicate at that point.
I basically don't want it to be a mob mentality for everybody thinking they're in a race. If you want to be part of it, then you're choosing to not necessarily go slow, but to stay with the pack. It's a community thing, not just sheer numbers. Last year a few of us split off from the main caravan at the last InNOut stop because they were taking way too long at each stop, we wanted to get to SB before it was dark, and to cruise together as a small group of E30's. There were only a few of us but it was better than pulling our hair out watching out for E46's, the Z4M and Porsche to keep from getting ran over. It was nice, but I just want to increase the number a little to gather up the rest of us up the coast and roll together.
Stops, etc-
These points mimic the BayBimmerz caravan but without the stress. If you have an E30 and are going to Bimmerfest, come with us. Hopefully they're cleared out of each location before we arrive. It worked well last year. Otherwise, there is parking in the surrounding area in Gilroy AND Atascadero if we run into them.

Stops, etc-
- Overnight stay in Northern Bay Area on Thursday night for PNW crew that wants to take part. Various locations, depending on the situation. PM me if you want in on this and will be driving down Thursday and we'll figure it out.
- Northern Bay/Surrounding area E30's only - We will meet at the Petaluma InNOut Parking lot at 8:30 AM. The idea is to realistically leave by 9:00 and I don't want to have to wait for stragglers showing up later than 9. Gives us plenty of time to get to Gilroy InNOut by 11:00.
- The rest of the bay area will meet us at the Gilroy InNOut at 11:00, and we will be leaving at 11:30 sharp.
- Stopping for food/gas/stretch in Atascadero, once again at their InNOut. The timing is not critical since we won't be meeting anybody else new at this stop, but we'll probably roll in at 1:30 and leave at or a little after 2:00PM.
