Being offered a red S54 E30 in California by a buyer claiming he is located in Europe

I am trying to cover my bases with him now, waiting for club membership or board user handle and location so I can verify its real and get someone local to check the car out.
But, anyone in here know anyone with a clean E30 S54 with Z4m 6 speed tranny in California owned by a European named Jack lol?

Is his last name Mehoff? I'd bet it is.

Sounds like the car that was built by a member here and then sold on BaT

Bid for the chance to own a S54-Powered 1990 BMW 325i 6-Speed at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #23,354.

Did you put a WTB and get a PM about emailing some random gmail acct?

Actually I found that car when I was trying to find the one I'm being offered, its different from the build pics he sent me.
He just told me the car is in LA area.
I'm waiting for more pictures and a shop local to him for a PPI.
His pics showed a complete repaint in factory red color, looks amazing, going to see if this pans out but so far I can't find anyway to verify its a real deal yet.

You ignored the joke name. This forum is too grown up these days.

Hugh Jaynis was the second like

I haven't seen that car pop up on any of the pages or sites I follow.

I would be skeptical. That is a sought after platform with said drive train, so if he really wanted to sell the car, you'd think he'd post it up in some of the obvious places.

I don't believe the buyer of my car is selling..... the name stated by OP is nothing close. Post the pics he gave you, it might be possible to find a build thread somewhere...

There's quite a bit of e30s with s54 platform being built *low-key* in shops like Castros, Bimmerheads and other independent shops. Maybe it is legit, but like suggested earlier., post pictures and PPI location and local members will definitely check it out for you.
