    E30 Help Needed

Hello gang....I need some help as I am learning about these E30's and parts. I purchased the E30 you see attached and I want to know if I can add a euro bumper on this front end? Also, if you guys can tell me what front end I have, I'd really appreciate it. I was thinking of adding an Mtech-1 rear bumper to match the front, but not sure what my front is.

it's possible to put the bumpers on but it's not going to fit the late front valance (definitely not the Mtech-1), also I think early fenders are a little different on the corners, and Mtech-1 isn't going to fit on the rear either because the late rear valance is completely different and you can't just unbolt it like the front.

      Buy an aftermarket kit https://www.classiceuroparts.com/pro...egory/bmw/e30/
and sell your current bumpers cheaply here.

An Mtech-1 rear bumper or valance isn't going to fit any late model, aftermarket or not - the rear arches and sheet metal are completely different.

Guys, OP does not yet seem to understand the differences between a series 1 and series 2 E30. That information can be found readily, thus OP obviously didn't bother to look. Also, if OP is asking us to identify what looks like a stock S2 front end with an "is" lip then OP may be beyond help.

Thanks for the answer Nando, I really appreciate it. So you recommend I change my front valance that supports a euro bumper? if not the M-tech 1, which one do you recommend for my 87 325i? I bought it this way and it just looks mickey mouse and It still has the rear diving board bumper, which I want to replace with a chrome euro bumper, which means I would need to buy one that supports a euro as well, right?

The early front could be made to bolt up to a late model, which you have, but not the rear. The rear bumper is the wrong length, the valance doesn't have the right shape, and the rear arches are too low. If you want an Mtech-1 kit, you'll need an early model car, or a lot of money and a body shop that knows what they're doing.

Ok so you finally mentioned that your car is an 87, which is the early model (series 1) body, so a previous owner installed the later model front valance and plastic bumper setup from an 89/90/91 model, and left the rear alone.

The chrome Euro Bumpers only fit the 84-87 models so the rear will bolt directly on your car. But for the front i imagine you could change the front valance setup back to the correct original 87 version, then the chrome Euro Bumper would bolt up as well.

You can sell the later model front valance and lip and plastic bumper easily as these parts are usually in high demand.
