Zinno Vert crashed, I'm looking for it: Ohio

So, I was unhappily told that the co-worker...whom no longer works for the company, put my vert into a ditch and totalled it.

I know..why would I care but I invested a TON of money into making that car look very nice. If anyone sees it in a junkyard please...I'll pay for you (on top of the cost to buy from junkyard) to buy some of the parts from the junker and I'll come and get them. I'd like to put some of the products on my new car.

I will find out the city but its in between Columbus, Cleveland...yes I know its a big distance but I'll find out the city this weekend.

You'll be able to indentify it by the ///shift knob and the ///shift boot and /// parking brake boot. I'd like at least these 3 things back and my sparco bar.

If it doesn't look too bad I'll buy the entire car.

There are other things on the car but these are the thing I know I need for or fit on my current e30.

I know there isn't any incentive to get me the parts...since you'd be able to make some money off the parts but I'm asking for your kindness.

How did it end up in some unknown junkyard without your knowledge?

A coworker told me he talked to the person that bought it from me (another, no longer working with the company, coworker). I'm not sure if it ended up in a junkyard but I was told they totalled the car out. I highly doubt he bought the car back...he wasn't an enthuesist

your post leads a reader to believe you still owned the car when this happened. mention that that it is your previously owned car. also, cant you just contact the fool who put it in the ditch?

Yea..sorry, I didn't put the car in the ditch, the next owner did. The car was damn perfect when I signed it over

I wish I could but no one has heard or seen the guy for almost half a year and he stopped showing up for work. He's got to be in his 60's and his family hasn't heard from him either. Something about him being in some drug problems.

Quite an area to cover but if I see anything, I'll let you know! I work in the salvage business and there are two auction yards around Columbus and one in New Philly. I've got no way of knowing what is actually there though.

                    Hey Master,

Lorain is the correct spelling of the city name. There are several options you might entertain to find the car.

                    1. Since you have previously owned the car you may still have the VIN written down. You can do a carfax on the car and see where it might be. When they turn it over to a junkyard, sometimes it is listed by the previous owner and you can contact he or she.

                    2. You can dial up car-parts.com and see what junkyards in Lorain have bmw parts. It is a matter of leg work then to find the one that may still have it on the lot. Also you can google all junkyards in the Elyria/Lorain area and contact them. The car-parts thing can be checked by searching for a part such as door or hood. They will list the color, year, and model that they are from.

                    3. If you know someone in the law enforcement field, you can give them the VIN, and have them find the car.

Hope you find the car, as I know how it feels to lose a Bimmer. When my green 318i died, and was buried in a yard on the westside of Cleveland, I wanted to have a funeral and post in the obituaries section--the loss!
