You're positive it's the wiper motor? It might be the ground behind the steering wheel. They will sometimes get loose.

i have had wiper problems on 2 of my e30's. on my 84 325e, the wiper motor went up in smoke. on my 87 325is, sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't, but if you jiggled the stalk they would stutter while wiping. i guess that was the ground?

Ean's motor is likely the motor or the linkage, but I dont see how the linkage can be an issue. It didn't swipe all the way across, it stops about 3 inches short on both arms. That was 2 days ago.

i have a newish wiper motor in my 318i that i could get rid of for a few bucks i supposed. bout it last year from napa reman. unit. used it maybe like thrice.

I got a last minute emergency/ got screwed... I gotta take care of for my class next week. Its for a class I paid over 1500 for, so it has to take precedence. I'll see what I can do, but as of now I'm not gonna make it.

basically they wouldnt let me register for my damn class. until today. So I have no text book. My friend whos also in teh class has been kind enough to say she will get her readings done tmr, so I can borrow it on sunday and she is in the otehr direction...

This is a one week class, everyday from 9 -5 so the readings are very very important from day to day. So I kind of have to drive to Germantown to get the books around 11am and read it for th rest of hte day so I'm prepare for class on Monday.

yea i think its the motor. now not only does it stop 3in short from the edge of the window it stops like 3-4in from the bottom of the windshield also

did that while the motor was out but I have half the travel on the wipers that I should have
