Reverse was the hardest for me to figure out - hills as well. You'll get the hang of it soon enough!Leave a comment:

idk i think because i get excited and put an angle on it...i grind going into 5th and 2nd...Glad to hear you're getting the hang of it! Our cars are easy to learn in with the hydraulic clutch and all. I learned in a car with a cable clutch, it was like stepping on a rock by comparison. Just steer clear of gridlock traffic until you've got everything down. The riverdance gets old after a while.
I've never ground a gear in 10+ years. How are you grinding gears?
rest are fine lol.
yeah i purposely park far away in parking lots so i can pull forward in a space or take different roads to avoid hills now, but i feel like I AM DRIVING the car now, not riding in it!Leave a comment:

You should have just backed off the trottle, I bet your are panic dumping the clutch witch is common for a beginner. Panic dumping is when the clutch first starts to engage you dump it. It should be a slow steady release all the way through without touching over 2k rpm.Leave a comment:

hils got it!
anyone have advice on how to NOT burnout? it was wet, light turned green, i spun the tires all through first, second, and into third, had the back end fishtailing like crazy!
should i have just engaged the clutch or let off gas?Leave a comment:

When on a hill, holding the foot brake, let the clutch out slowly until it just starts to grab, then when you take your foot off the brake rollback will be minimal then start going.Leave a comment:

 Good job bro! As long as you don't wine it out with the clutch half in they can take a pretty good beating.Leave a comment:

Dude, seriously don't worry about it. the first few weeks I was learning I would miss shifts and grind gears all day long. It happens. A year and a half later my clutch is still strong.Leave a comment:
