    Need welding help :(

    Hi guys,
I picked up a 1984 318i on the cheap to use as a commuter. It runs well and the interior is great but...

This is the most severe rust on the car. It is all localized in front of the passenger side rear wheel.
Can some local guys help me with this one please? I will supply good beer and food.
    HELP!? :(

I can't weld, but just a suggestion: go to a junkyard and cut this area out of a junk car, which will make it alot easier to weld in. There just happens to be an early 318i in the Jessup Crazy Ray's, which should be within 30 minutes of you.

IDK how easy that is, seeing as the rocker panels on these cars are part of the full side panel, but who knows.

      That's a great idea!

But how can I power a tool at the junkyard? Ideas please? Or is is there a better way to cut it off. The other issue is getting the part home.

Crazy rays doesn't allow grinding or cutting in their yards anymore. I think they had a couple accidents or something.

i don't know man that looks pretty ugly. Its gonna take a lot of work to repair that. If its just a beater/commuter, than just drive it. Good luck though.

last week when I was there there were some guys with a portable generator powering a sawzall, cutting a radiator crossbrace off a car, lol.

I could have sworn those guys with the generator when me and Stuart were there last week were cutting with a sawzall. Why else would they need a generator?
