I used to street slide heavily when I was young. Then I grew up and noticed 1 hour of seat time at the track is way better than any street session. You'll see what I mean once you attend an event. It allows you to try new things and not worry about crashing etc.

Stop being a dumbass and wait for drift nirvana. You are going so slow, it's not even worth it. Bored? Save up money or build your car. Do some research on how to setup your car.

When I go I hope it will be as hyped as its made to seem. I feel like if I'm this bad here why go to the track so u guys can just talk more shit about a newb. I've got a good enough set up just want track practice this year. I think my car is up to driving me to and from the track. By the spring for sure

No one is talking shit about your driving. We are talking shit about your decision to try to learn to drift at some shitty spot.

                Just to be clear. :)

p.s. go to an event youll have fun and meet new people.

There are very few drivers that are exceptionally good at DN. Most of them are noobs like you. No one really cares if you spin out/suck. Your car is too floppy and after glancing through your build thread, you seem to be spending your money in the wrong places. All you need: A full ground control coilover kit (you'll want custom spring rates that are much stiffer than what they initially offer, but i'll leave you to do the research on it), a working LSD (I have a built 3 clutch and 3 dogear plate diff I'm selling for $500 obo), good front tires, and most importantly track time.

This is close to the limit of what you can do with a stock drivetrain in an E30.

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

Talk about taking something out of context. He simply forgot a comma.

He was referencing the LSD thats in his car, and his fear of breaking it. It sounds to me that you have comprehension issues.

Tbh, commas are pretty important to understanding a long sentence. The issue is not reading comprehension, it's bad grammar.

And sheckel, don't be so rough on yourself. You've got pretty decent car control, from what I could see at the skid pad.

That spot is an elementary school off of a mildly busy road. There's a cop that sits down the road a bit catching speeders. I believe penalties for sliding on state property is bad in VA (IIRC). I used to slide there from time to time. It's not that great for more than some basics.

First, if you want to learn to drift and have an E30 here, really, I'm the first person you should talk to. Second, there is merit in slow drifting for beginners. Hopping into 3rd isn't ideal for newbs. Summit point is a nice track but isn't as newb friendly. Third, your car needs much work to be slidable. Mainly a good suspension. Can't tell by this thread if you have an LSD or not. probably needs a rebuild regardless.

                        Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

I have an is so idk why ppl can't figure out that I have an LSD..I don't consider it a good one because it has 225k in it. I'd really like a built/refreshed LSD before taking my car to the track and thrashing it..

My build thread isn't even updated so its irrelevant

I'm also confused how you say "a lot" as if I've ever met you or we've had any other encounters besides this thread.

I was just pointing out that you said YOURSELF that you don't have an LSD. Maybe it was a typo dude? Could have corrected yourself. Simple grammatical error causing confusion.
