    Go to autozone, buy breaks, rent caliper compressing tool, do work. Should take you 1-1.5 hours. Easy job.

        Unless you have no room or really don't want to do it, I wouldn't pay a shop to do something like pad replacement. It's a really simple task. It took me less than an hour and I was able to figure it out the first time without a manual (although I advise against doing this if you're really unsure. Better safe than sorry and all that)

        As cletonius said, you can get away with using a c-clamp. When I compressed the piston though, I put the old pad in between the piston and the clamp arm just to be safe. Also, after you reassemble everything and finish, remember to pump the brake pedal until you feel resistance before driving the car anywhere or you're going to have a bad time

            I have done brakes in a parking lot before It's not much more complicated then changing a tire

            The only thing with an e30 is usually the jerk before you stripped the Allen bolt that holds the rotor in place
