Yeah, it is mostly the square tails, and the big bumpers, with the early models you got the round tails and nice chrome bumpers. The front bumper bolts on to the late models but the rear is a little bit tougher, you have to fill in some holes and change some mounting points.Comment

i see. The square tails don't bug me, but i must concur that those bumpers are just plain ridiculous. Of course if this was my car, I would simply remove the bumpers altogether and call it good.Yeah, it is mostly the square tails, and the big bumpers, with the early models you got the round tails and nice chrome bumpers. ...And then ridiculous slammage on coilovers, 15x8 Diamond Racing steelies (or some aggressive size like that), rivet-on fender flares to barely cover the wide rubber, stripped to bare bones, and painted matte black.
...and then some motor stuff.Comment

...value is definately going up. gotta consider almost all high arch e30s can qualify for collector car registration now and - if any of us could manage a clean enough driving record for long enough - collector car insurance rates. So, back to the the topic of the annoyance of all E30 prices being pretty ridiculous lately, here is a late model 325is "in need of TLC" for $3500. The value of my car must be going up...

my brother got into an 84 325e 2dr with sub 80k miles, but alot of previous owners, and only a handful of standard "replacement" mods like suspension, etc. - he sold it for $3500. that's a freaking ETA for $3500. just this last year... i think. shit time flies like a kamikazeComment

No E30 is currently eligible for collector car registration anymore.
It's now 1975 or older, or if you have a 1976 that was previously registered as a collector car, it can be grandfathered in as long as you didn't let the registration expire.
