It's now 1975 or older, or if you have a 1976 that was previously registered as a collector car, it can be grandfathered in as long as you didn't let the registration expire.
Holy FUCK, So I could possibly be one of the only e30 owners who is rolling collector car plates?
...thats ...
you all got it in the backdoor HAHA
I don't have to renew my registration till 2014.

yeah that 1975 law is absolute BS. Stupid tree huggin libs screwing crap up (as usual)... Seriously, who owns/drives a car that is older than 1975?? Like 1.4% of the population??
MD is a liberalfest, but at least in MD your car can get classic plates and be emissions exempt if it is 20 years old. Most of our e30s would qualify for that, and the good thing about that is the cutoff date progresses every year, so if your E30 doesn't qualify now, it may qualify next year! Not so with the 1975 law, if your E30 doesn't qualify now, it will NEVER qualify.
F that noise man, When I get around to doing my S50 swap I am making a removable thru pipe that can be replaced with a cat for emissions testing and then yanked back out again.
/end rant.
