Welcome man. Does your car always have the numbers on it? I think I've seen it around otherwise. I'm in Superior / Louisville area.

They are sitting in the guest bedroom. The last track day at HPR in the M5, I slid around quite a bit, so these guys will keep me planted at PMP this weekend. After that, the stock ones will go back in.

Skip to 3:42 and you can see how much the factory seats are actually moving around!

Derek, I just learned last week from one of my super nerd troops that 1337 means "leet" which means awesome or badass in wow. Is this what you are going for?

Yeah, I've seen you a few times. The silver wheels looked great. The last time I saw you, you were pulling a WRX wagon up the "bump" on Mcaslin. I was on my mountain bike.

Eric you spelled "plains" wrong in your video.

welcome to all the noobs that just showed up!!! ;)

it's good to have more E30 people than E36 people here.

so highlight of my weekend, I made a steering bushing for the E28 out of steel. It was sort of an emergency thing since my E28 was shaking itself apart on the highway and I discovered that the pitman arm bushing was just hilariously bad, and the play in it allowed the right front wheel to steer +/- 10 degrees independent of the left.

The steel route isn't optimal, but I could easily pop over to my buddy's house and crank it out on the lathe to very tight tolerances, and now there is zero play. Of course I plan to go delrin, teflon, or poly when I get the chance.

Pretty cool hang gliding vid I had off the top of the Tram in Jackson Hole last month. The internet is too slow at my hotel to upload to YouTube. Scroll down to the bottom of the post and click.

hey guys just introducing myself. I'm new to Colorado just moved to Gateway (which is all the way out west) from NJ. Been a long time e30techer but that forum was run into the ground by lazy mods so now im here. I've got an 87 325es and 75 2002 which will be getting an m20 swap when I find a swap for the e30. Also any other western slope people on here and is there anything going on out west here?

wow like 4 new people showing up, thats cool. There is a guy brandon (bcausey on here)in gypsum, thats about it on here on the western slope.

Cool car derek, what plans do you have for fuel management?

In other news I replaced the rocker for intake valve on 1st cylinder without removing the head this weekend!! the ix cruises much smoother now with a tune up and valve adjustment. That was my first venture into the valvetrain and it isn't too bad. Good thing I had a crappy spare eta head to practice on before I got into my car's engine.
I need to get some pics of that broken rocker arm. it now sits on the wall of shame.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Hey Alex, just have to ask (as a pilot and aerospace nut), what is the string connected to that you keep pulling on at the beginning of the flight? Looks like a fun flight!

It changes the geometry (sweep and aspect ratio) of the wing along with wing twist or angle of incidence which changes the speed and bar pressure. All of that acts like a gear shift knob in the air.
