This is a long shot, but does anyone know someone that works at the Audi/VW test facility in Golden?

I bet the wagon will be auto and AWD only, just like the gas version.

The video doesn't really show why it's so difficult. Is it the entry speed? Off camber? Eric, any input?

It's kind of a funny angle that I don't really recognize, but I'm pretty sure that's after foxhole and two corners before the tight adenau forest section. I never thought it was a particularly difficult corner, in fact I had more trouble with the corner you see the cars exiting at the beginning of the frames. It was flat and sharper than it looks with little reference points. It was really easy to cook that corner and then you've scrubbed all your speed.

This corner I really liked actually, I'd stab the brakes turn in and nail 3rd WAY before the apex... You could carry a lot more speed through that corner than it feels like. A lot of people would incrementally slow down at this corner and the next one to prep for adenauforst, it was a great place to pass!

But as for that video, when the ring is damp like that it is like wearing bowling shoes on an icerink! Touch the curbing and the back end is gone. Comments were saying that there must be oil on the track... Nope, it gets really slick. And of course this wasn't every car as it went by, it was a compilation of a few hours of driving, almost normal on a busy Saturday.

It looked like there was a little wet spot or oil stain right at the braking point before the first turn.

Close, but a lot cheaper to buy new. Plus you can build it yourself. That Valdez video is great. Watched it countless times.
