RACE WILL BE ON SATURDAY, FEB. 13th! Day before Valentines day
Ok, similar deal to last time, except it's somewhere else.
Any information regarding autocross in the Rocky Mountain region can be found by talking to me, checking the website (rmsolo.org), or checking the SCCA direct website (SCCA.org).
There is plenty of helpful information at either of those sources, and if you'd like to come racing and then something happens day of the race and you cannot compete, chances are we won't feel sorry for you for not asking questions.
You MUST be: - registered before I think 10am the Thursday before the race weekend.
- Willing to let someone look your car over and make sure it's safe
- Willing to bring a proper helmet, borrow from someone, or rent one on site (limited quantities).
- Willing to take care of yourself and handle your responsibilities. If you wanna drive, expect to work.
There is much more, but I highly suggest anyone with questions go over the RMsolo page, SCCA page, or PM me.
What to expect to spend: At the bare minimum you'll be factoring in the entrance fee ($30 I think for World Arena), possibly the weekend membership fee ($15) or the annual fee ($45) if you've signed up, as well as gas getting to and from the Springs / World Arena. You CAN plan for things like a hotel room the night before so you don't have to drive in the morning, food, drink, possibly breaking parts, etc.
As it sits right now, we have a few people interested in splitting the cost of one room and stuffing people inside. The more people wanting to do this, the cheaper it can get. Right now we're figuring $100, prolly a little more, split however many ways for the people going. It's for a nice hotel (name is escaping me right now) which is literally a stones throw from the world arena parking lot, and didn't make me fear that my car was going to be broken into last time I stayed there. So think, 2 beds, 1 or 2 people per bed, plenty of floor space..... It's an idea.
That's it for now, let the discussion begin and questions arise, I'll do my best to help answer whatever I can.
