just checked the weather, according to accuweather.com, its supposed to be cold and snowing in the Springs on the 13th, according to weather.com, its supposed to be partly cloudy and semi-warm on the 13th. go figure. I guess I'll have to check the weather again later on...Comment

accuweather?
I've never even heard of that......
I'm going to apply the beer-name principle here:
Anything that says how good (or accurate) it is in ITS OWN TITLE, is just the opposite (ie Milwaukee's Best=can of geriatric diarrhea, Bohemian Lager=hobo pee filtered through dead mosquitos)
Anything that just blurts out weird stuff or has an unassuming name, is usually the quality stuff (ie Skullsplitter Ale=delicious wee heavy, Weihenstephaner=yum)
So.....i'd go with weather.com, but then again, it's colorado; the weather is never right.FS: assault gear....Originally posted by stoliver54Aw, balls.

then I agreed. Since this is still technically the winter series, there's the ever looming chance that the event will be delayed or canceled... Most accurate guess would probably be to check it this Wed night.

so let me see if i heard this right,... $45 and i can autoX, granted "Guano" (my 91 318i) could pass an inspection?
...I was reading over the rules and maybe you could answer a few questions i have:
1) Guano currently has no CAT.... but is muffled, do i need to crawl under my car and bolt a CAT in, in order to participate? - i don't really care about classification, but if i'm stuck in a high class, i don't want to piss people off with how slow an m42 is.
2) i see no reference to non-structural, non-function-inhibiting body damage, the rear quarter got hit on xmas eve and all i've done so far is beat it *roughly* back out with a BFH, super glued the turn signal bulb back into the housing, then poured oil on the exposed metal to inhibit the rusting. (can you tell how much i care for this car? LOL) I know some racing organizations prohibit body damage, but didn't see any reference to it in hte rules.
...i really wish i hadn't spun a bearing on the euro :(
If I can get this 318 to qualify, I'm gonna have to dig out a helmet and hit it up!Last edited by LEANE30; 02-06-2010, 02:09 PM.Comment

if you are a SCCA member, $35, or if not, then $15 weekend membership + $35 so $50 total.
Your 318is should pass inspection as long as body parts aren't falling off, the battery is tied down, your engine runs, and all of your bushings and ball joints are present.Comment

1) no problem whatsoever. Just make sure your car is under the noise limit, which it should be because it has a muffler....I was reading over the rules and maybe you could answer a few questions i have:

2) body damage is fine as long as it doesn't impede the car's operation.Comment

I don't have any solid info about the prices. When I registered in Denver the other day I thought I heard someone say the prices weren't changing till summer.

Eh, some rather unavoidable things came up... Things I knew were going to happen sooner or later... Sooner happened than later. I'm not trying to be a secretive dick or anything, just can't really / don't really wanna talk about it. I might ignore the winter series, get my cards in order, and aim to do a full season of summer racing.
