Awesome spots to photograph cars

Saturday afternoon I had some time to go driving around so I decided to scout the industrial park near my house for some good locations to shoot some photos once the weather gets better.

I think quite a few of these spots have major potential. I have them all located on gps so they are easy for me to find again, I'd love to get a group together to do some night shots after the snow melts!

If you're like me, you can see potential in my 'location shots' from my iphone, obviously these are not artistic, but they give a good overview of the spot.

Also, each of these places has easy public access(no gates or fences), plenty of depth for parking cars close or far from the background, very little after hours traffic, and most of them are private enough that nobody is going to even notice we are there.

The second picture looks great.

I am in anytime, even for dirty snow pictures. My camera got dropped this weekend so I still need to order a new filter and but it probably wont be nice enough by then anyways.

This place has HUGE potential as it is a sort of hidden parking garage directly next to the old gates rubber factory. Properly staged the background will be SICK. (long lens etc...)

Dude. There are several warehouses down here by me that are "permission walls" for tag artists, I have a ton more pics of that spot but only thought i needed to upload one. We should do a shoot there as it will look amazing. There are probably 5 or 6 buildings that are completely tagged and you can park nearly everywhere (they face public streets, alleys, and parking lots).

Well I'll check with my wife, but I think I'm free on wed evening/night, the place is off broadway down near hampden. There is a really great spot to take night pics with some overhead lamps that will cast a nice glow for some long exposures. Some of the art on the walls is really, really good.

Some other pics, the couch is awesome (and shows scale, some of this stuff is HUGE).





Also note the tagging on the couch. I laughed so hard when I noticed this after I uploaded it!

The reason I looked around this area: quiet, wide streets that don't get plowed........
