Also, this may interest you, total cost: $80, that is with doing your own cutting/grinding, so for the steel and the bending, it was about $80. However, I hear it can be bought cheaper, I have been told by a reputable source that I overpaid.

70MPH? That seems faster than most courses are "supposed" to be. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's fun, but The upper design limit of most of what I've been on seems to be around 50ish. Perhaps some gates are in order for the fast sections?

Figure some of that is wheelslip and bad diff reading, and the remainder bad course design. Buddy who rolled his WRX hit 75-80mph on the course, which was waaaaaaaaay too high for the event per their regs.

Looks like it was fun...kinda wish I could have driven my truck around that, but a 3/4 ton pick up probably wouldn't be the most entertaining thing to drive around a rallycross track...

yeah, I agree that 70 mph is a bit excessive, but it was done, and mike went off the track and almost rolled his jeep! So I guess that attests to that fact! I only probably hit 50, i'm not as crazy as mike.

This one is Mike biffing in his jeep. Sorry I couldn't document the most intense part, I was trying too hard to not be run over. Pretty much Mike got distracted (he says) and lost control at about 70ish and went off the track, where he almost flipped due to huge ditches.

You guys must be talking about the rally sprint course at CORE. This course was designed to mimic a very short stage rally and not rally cross. I have seen full rally prepped open class cars (Mitch's STi from Checkpoint Racing) hit over 110 on the straits on this course.

                        No MDR like SCORE.

Who is talking about it? We raced at the course at CORE that is pictured in the first post. Is that the rally sprint course you are talking about Clark? Because we did rallycross in the morning, and then we ditched that and raced on the long track all afternoon, which was WAY more awesome than rallycross.

Yes it is the course I'm talking about. Rally-X courses are designed to limit speed to 60 give or take 10 mph.

I was just saying that jeeps like that are more common in MDR/SCORE racing out here on the west coast. Its just different seeing a jeep driving on a course like that, that fast. It is a high center of gravity type vehicle(i thought he was going to roll over in the video).;)
