dude. you guys are all insane. Changing wheels (which I am assuming we are talking about since, changing tires requires a wheel balancer and a machine to mount/unmount tires) is super easy and fast. I can swap all four wheels out in about 5-7 minutes. I did it like 6 times last weekend.Comment

High five Sam, David's gonna wanna make a bet with you now too lol. Yes, we're talking about swapping wheels (and sorry OP for this stupid thread jacking).
I still stick by buying a high treadwear comfort tire for your 15s.
As for swapping wheels, as long as you're not David, it's not a problem.

Main point of thread: when it comes to David saying how long it took him to do something, cut that in half and to OP just get some cheap all seasons that will last you years and will be dirt cheap.89 325i (Sold)

That's why I said "decent" yet put a price cap on there. I basically needed a place to start, know I can go read up on them all. I'm looking for something that will last a few summers, but will still be fun to drive on.I giggle at these kinda threads.... You have NT01s and dedicated snows, don't go out and buy a super aggressive
Summer tire with tread wear that will have you buying another set next year.... Buy something comfy from Michelin or something with high tread wear to get around on. Ride quality will be nicer, less road noise, but less grip (the road isn't a race track). Best of all you'll be saving money cause next summer you won't be replacing them due to tire wear.Comment

I'll tell you right now, from FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE which can be hard to come by these days on the internet, my star specs on the 17s were just shy of the wear bars after a few laps at HPR, a few autocrosses, and mostly DD use.... Such a waste for a DD tire in my opinion, and I'll also say the RS-3 will most likely wear faster... I have a set of those right now but they only go on for track..

My BFG's show almost no wear after a summer and a HPR track day. They are a little noisy, probably due to the 340 treadwear, but nothing crazy. I think I payed under 400 installed.

I like my Bridgestone RSAs all seasons on the scoob. Nice, somewhat grippy (clark can attest to that, was hauling ass up to pikes peak waiting line), and still look new after a couple thousand miles.
I'd be curious to see about the DZ101's lifespan, I should ask Eggo come to think of it.Comment

Not trying to take over the thread but... I am looking for 225/45/16 tires and the pickings are pretty slim. Right now I am leaning towards the Falken fk452, other options I have found are BFG KDW and toyo t1r and r1r. I really wish there were more options in this size. So waddya think, buy the falkens or go for a non stock diameter?
