FS: Eibach "Road Race/J Stock" Springs: $100

    SOLD

Finally got these things off the struts. There are some paint chips on one, and paint is worn through to metal on bottom coil where coils were touching.

Fronts say "9301.001" and "46/96" and rears say "9301.002" and "47/97".

Did some quick Google searching, and it seems these must be "Road Race" springs that have long been discontinued and are a bit stiffer than the current Eibachs, and people say they are desirable. I dunno. Just come get them for a crispy Benjamin.

These springs are off the silver E30 below, pictured w/ springs installed. As a reference, my alpine E30 in front of it is on H&R Race and E90 drop hats and no front spring pads. Silver E30 has stock hats and pads in place.

I will not be shipping these springs anywhere until Thursday May 5. I am eyebrows deep in school and exams until then. So for now, local sale only, and if these aren't sold by May 5, I will put an ad in the Parts FS subforum, and package these for shipping.

Let me see if I can find some specs.

EDIT: Seem like cool springs. Spring rates at or greater then H&R race but not as low. I probably will have to pass unless I can find actual lower info.

Any photos of how high the car sits with them installed?

Looking for something that will ride about stock height or a little higher.

        These aren't stock height springs.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

These springs will give you low. But I recommend getting some shocks too. I have billy sports but apparently the threads are stripped out on one of them, and a set of 3 good shocks is pretty worthless... :(

More info on the bilstein's, I need a set. How are the other three? Which one's bad front or rear? And have a price in mind?

Well, there WAS a person in line to get the Billys, but as I was removing the spring hat from the front shock, I noticed the bolt just spinning and not un-threading.

                        So here is the situation:

                        1. Bolt spins easily, w/ little torque.
                        2. shock shaft does not spin.
                        3. Bolt does not un-thread.
                        4. I have found NOTHING that would clue me in on how this is happening.

springs are black(ish). but they have a distinct bright blue layer of paint under the black paint, I know because I accidentally chipped off some paint w/ a hammer.

Over-torqued by an impact by whoever installed them. Common issue.
