I will be leaving again soon for a few weeks, but if I am here I am interested. I would just love to drive back up there anytime.

So of late I have been itching to drive fast in the twisties. It is sad, I haven't even blazed up any mountain roads in my E30 w/ the new sways and seats, not to mention new Dunlops, catback, etc etc...
So, what are the details on this here drive? Where do we start/end? what time?
However, I don't want to run over any bikers/skaters etc, and I don't want to get pulled over. I'll bring a radar detector, and that may help a little, but not much.Comment

There are no cops from the bottom to top, there just isn't space for them. From seeing Ian the first time, I say he gets the lead. Not only because the S52, but because he will scare anyone that is trying to bike up. Most people bike up in the morning while it's still cool, so after that. It is a slower road due to the cliffs and sharp turns. If we want more fun we can run down to morrison and drive that canyon too. That's a good one.

The drive.

This parking lot looks like a good one to get everything organized and start at.

At the top there's Buffalo Bill's grave, which depending on the amount of people we have, it could serve as the eating stop. I don't know about eating areas up there though.
lol at the tour buses...

On the other hand, we could drive up and hang around up there for a bit and drive back down and stop at this park for a bbq. Again, I think it would depend on the amount of people because parking looks limited.

Anyone else have ideas?
