No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.Comment

Really wish I coulda gone...but I spent all day working on my car (i.e. waiting for fucking parts)

But I am able to partake in the grilling as we just finished building our new outdoor kitchen :D

That sucks! Raise the car when you're done, this is oil pan #2 due to low ride height.Comment

I didn't bust an oil pan, I just went to change the oil before installing an ejnight skid plate and the drain plug hole threads are stripped. It should be an easy helicoil fix but finding the right kit took 2 days and now that we have it all installed the drain plug doesn't want to thread all the way...so I bought another shorter one and now the head on that one doesn't fit into the cut out.
Just annoying that nothing will work out right...but what's new...

Just JB-Weld one of these things in and call it a day. I have one on the Volvo, and we had one for the airplane too so we could heat the oil up in the morning after camping.

I was considering one of those, would it be compatible with a skid plate (i.e. not be in the way)?Just JB-Weld one of these things in and call it a day. I have one on the Volvo, and we had one for the airplane too so we could heat the oil up in the morning after camping.

This.
I was told there would have been pics if not for a certain Subaru in the background.... not sure if any pics were taken.
Was a great meet and lots of relaxing fun!Comment

I don't know. I don't own an E30, nor a skid plate. But it goes in the exact place as your drain plug, so I don't see why it would be a problem.
fact.
