Injectors, MAF, Throttle Body, Airbox, Exhaust Manifold, and the exhaust midpipe are the same S50 or M50. The catback might be the same, not sure. I know the 96+ has bigger pipes on the catback and less restrictive (tubular, not cast) exhaust manifolds as well as a true, twin-tube midpipe.

Do to my chassis being an early prod :x 1992 e36 (non-vanos) and only because of this . . . "I'm out."

            Confused, why?

You can literally yank your M50 long block, install S50 long block and ecu and chip, and be done. Yours is by far the cheapest and easiest swap of all.

So you're saying all I would need is the Vanos ECU, chip and not the entire Vanos wireharness. I was under the impression that I would need an entire Vanos 93+ wireharness.

              Now you've intrigued me. . . . .

You'd need an entire engine harness from a vanos car, which isn't hard to find.

Like I said, there is one at Pull N' Save. I can go grab the harness and ECU for extra if you want. Pulling the harness on these is insanely easy.

E28s bring in revenue. S50 will not.
