Now that I think of it, there was a guy selling an M3 in Boulder for $7K. When myself and several others contacted him, we didn't get a response. Later the guy shows up on S14 saying that the car is still available but he's not willing to ship anywhere and if you've already inquired but didn't get a response don't bother trying again. WTF??? what a douchebag.
What is it with the people in Boulder?

That guy was a flake. He was trying to sell that car for years, took me 2 months to actually get a chance to look at it after the first time he listed. Now that I think of it, there was a guy selling an M3 in Boulder for $7K. But yeah, pretty typical Boulderite.

Man, this is very discouraging. I was planning on driving down with my friend next week to Boulder because he is moving there. I've been thinking of moving and was going to check the place out and kind of make a decision when I was down there. IDK now kind of sounds like Portland and I fucking hate Portland.Comment

It's exactly like Portland, except the weather is better. There's some other great front range towns/cities without the snobbery that comes with Boulder though. Best to live outside of Boulder County and make the occasional trip in to enjoy the few positive things it has going for it.Man, this is very discouraging. I don't mean to make it out as hell or a shithole, but the people/attitude there can really get under my skin.

Boulder as a location is great. But so is Loveland, Fort Collins, etc etc.
however, boulder is a factor of three MORE EXPENSIVE to live in than anywhere else in this area.
And Andy, that's awesome that you will be in WP again, we may have to come snowboarding! And I may suck less this time...Comment

OMFG $40 for a fucken oil change...i feel you homie...Boulder Cycle Sport, we've got 2 stores 1 on N. Broadway, and 1 at S. Broadway and Table Mesa. I'm usually at the South store, it's right next to Southern Sun. The shop is great, I like my co-workers, but I've been a mechanic for 8 years and never have I seen so many people complain about such ridiculous shit.Comment

qfmft. In fairness have to say, despite my dislike of the attitude of some of the residents of Boulder, it does have a lot to offer. If I can work out a way to live in the mountains, and own property in Boulder, that'd be pretty clutch. Property values in Boulder are sky hi, but I don't see them doing anything but grow in the future.
Also very true. And yes I am definitely prepared to do whatever I can to facilitate The 2nd Annual r3v Ski Trip!Boulder as a location is great. But so is Loveland, Fort Collins, etc etc.

Yeah, easiest just to live somewhere else. North, south, west, you have tons of options. Just go to Boulder for some of the Beer, the trails, and if you are like me...work. The front range is an amazing place to live.Man, this is very discouraging. I was planning on driving down with my friend next week to Boulder because he is moving there. I have a friend that lives in portland, and a friend here visits him a lot. Boulder is exactly like Portland.

Agreed. There are a lot of folks who commute to Boulder from Nederland or Superior/Louisville or other cities.
Boulder is expensive, but there is a lot of great stuff to do in and around it.
Maybe half of the population is retarded and spoiled, but they don't bother you unless you let them. Just laugh, it's served me well.Comment
