Many different variables in dirt. One being WAY more traction, so a more powerful motor/lighter car w/ rwd may take advantage of a less powerful motor/heavier car w/ awd.

But then again, awd will always have 10x more traction than rwd, so, like Ross said, bring it on! ;)
This can be bench raced all day, but moar sideways != moar faster around corner.

That said, how much do you think my Subaru weighs?

absolutely! more sideways does not equal more fast. however, that is the only thing I noticed is all I was saying.

I would guess your subie is right around 3000 lbs or so.

how did you lighten it up? wikipedia gives it a 3100 lb curb weight.

            A) not an outback (2-300lbs heavier)

            B) I tend to believe my car's owner manual over wikipedia.

Aside from coilovers I've done jack shit weight-wise, and coils only reduced it 5-10lbs/corner.

              Bump for one week!!!

The weather should be pretty decent, and dry, which is good.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
