Any s14 experts locally? I've got some top end issues on mine, and need an expert. Maybe it's 2.5l time.

I know a guy that just did my S38 head (same head with two more cylinders), he'll be doing my S14 head once I get the M5 back together and sold and I'll probably put new rod-bearings and rod bolts in the bottom end and call it a day.

Not sure exactly what's up with mine. I think I oil starved it in a corner, and now it sounds like one of the lifters has a really bad tick. It sounds terrible on start up but gets better as the oil temp gets up. It's common because the engine leans over so much and is buzzy. Usually it's just the nuts that go missing though."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
