Hey so I'm sure this has been covered before but it's almost summer so I figure why not now
for the last few winters I have owned a 325ix with working 4x4 and studded tires
I have only gotten it stuck once in snow and that was in more than 2 feet of snow and I just had to shovel off the snow that had piled up on the hood and I was off
and thanks to me being a backcountry skier I tend to drive on unplowed roads alot
but recently I had some close calls with the 4x4 components failing and I'm worried that something may fail making it to expensive to own so I'm thinking of selling it (especially with the prices they are going for)
I love the idea of a simple rwd e30, better mpg, cheaper parts (The sound of a 200$ transmission makes me wet) and just so much easier to work with/ find parts.
So how well do your rwd e30s do in the deep snow...I'm talking about a e30 with snow tires and a lsd in a blizzard driving through i70?
Or should I just keep collecting parts for my ix so it won't be as bad when shit breaks
