      When mine broke, it was where the knob locks on.

      I cut the shaft off, threaded the remainder 5/8 coarse, found an 8 ball, drilled and tapped it, cheap short shifter.

      Ball sits right at the top of the shift boot, I like it alot.

        Yeah, snapped right below the knob. I was gonna drill both sides and jb weld a rod in. See how long that lasts.

          Granny drivin, it will hold up for a while, If your bangin gears you'll break it off.

            Well someone had done this already with a skinny associated threaded rod. I am going larger diameter and threaded. In the meantime I will hunt for a replacement.
