Was good event but suggest we do it earlier in the day. I spent 3 hours getting home. Hour just to get to 195 from the park sitting in stop and go traffic, the other 2 in a 45 minute delay from 290 Worcester to 84 split on sunday with the NYC crowd the love to visit Boston.

Fred thanks for the doggies forgot to give you a couple of bucks as we got chatting car stuff.

Ugh, sounds like a nightmare getting back! I thought for sure that I'd see some traffic leaving Newport (we went on a little cruise afterwards), but things were fine for me, fortunately.

      Thanks for snapping pics Jeff_b.

Pretty nice meet all and all. Good weather and people. Took me about 2.5hrs. to get back to New Haven. No traffic until New London, CT which was stop and go for about 25min. Really need to get an Auxiliary fan on the M50E30, almost overheated twice.

Thanks again for the dogs Fred.

If I had taken 44 back I would not have got stuck in traffic but It would have taken 3+ hours of meandering thru all the small towns and traffic lights. Car would have sucked a tank a fuel vs 1/4 on the expressway.

S14 tends to be thirsty in town.

Is the a state park near Worcester that's decent? Smack dab in the middle would get more people that would come out plus there is the drives out by the Quabbin where no one lives.

Definitely Greg. That or in Northwestern CT/Southwestern MA around the Berkshires would be pretty awesome.

I agree. The Quabbin area sounds right up my alley, after spending most of my adult years in remote South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana. In my opinion, people in the remote areas tend to be more respectful of others and their property, family, etc. Give me the lone prairie and woods any day!

It would be great to find a spot to maybe do a meet out there; the ride alone would be worth the additional travel time...beautiful county!
