Deer exist, they come out of nowhere, I made the split second decision in my head that it would be better to go off the road than to fuck my entire front/hood/windshield, or even potentially myself. Or you are talking about the speeding tickets? Oh well, I'm not too concerned with what you, or pretty much anyone else on here thinks about me. Love me, hate me, be indifferent towards me, DOESN'T make much of a difference in my life. Just sharing experiences, that's all, isn't that what forums are all about?

I was merging from 516 -> 167 N where both 516 and 167 meet. Car in front of me squeezed himself in rudely between a packed line of cars. The car in front of him and then me? Totally stopped. No offense, but he was an Asian driver, totally stopped in middle of the highway.

I ended up slamming the wheel to the left (shoulder) and hitting a huge pot hole/gouge in the pavement where it meets the dirt. Ended up breaking a bottle cap lip completely off. Bumped my front H&R race springs out of the perch on both sides and ever since, my subframe bushing has been screaming at me on the pass. side.

Actually I got it back in September of last year. Fog wasn't all that heavy. Doing under the speed limit. Although I am willing to take responsibility for my actions when I feel it was my fault, what am I gonna do, blame the deer, blame the fog? Wouldn't that sound a bit more stupid on my part? Wouldn't call driving off the road and smacking the control arm on a rock or whatever "wrecking my car". I think I did a pretty good job, I was about 2" away from smacking the deer, and about 4" from the embankment.

So from you're saying, you have never made any mistakes in your life? Oh ok, well to those who have no sins cast the first stone or whatever, which you did.

This thread totally reminds me of how I used to drive 30 years ago. Now I'm a pathetic old geezer and haven't been pulled over in many years. The way I drive, I should just chuck the E30 and get a Prius. Well, other than oversteering on on-ramps, exercising the rev limiter and stuff like that.

And BTW I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that a traffic cop would lie in court when you questioned his version of a traffic stop. That never would have happened back in the day. Wait...
