    Poulsbo sounds gay.

Silverdale looks quite - and full or strip malls?

Bremerton looks like it has lots of characters. The kind of place you can find a good dive bar and play some pool on a friday night?

      Lame

      lame and
      lame.

The only good things about issiquah or renton are that they are close to the city.

If your looking for waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, i doubt you'd be able to find anything decent out on the peninsula. Seattle or the eastside (kirkland, bellevue) are your only hopes. For what it seems yo are looking for, the peninsula is not for you imo.

Silverdale is the mall. And everything else shopping related. Theres the Costco, Target, and 3 or so movie theatres there.

Bremerton has a few dive bars.

Haha and the thing about few good hoes, have you heard the song Bremelo?

There's no comparison between Bremerton and Santa Barbara (I've lived in both) except that they're both around an hour away from a major city. The underlying vibe in Santa Barbara is class, Bremerton is crass. Santa Barbara has I.V., Bremerton has Olympic College...

It's a one hour ferry ride, but don't forget waiting for 1/2 hour and the inevitable ferry breakdown. When ANY ferry in the system goes Outa-Commision, they pull the replacement boat off the Bainbridge run. The drive around is 1 hour 20 without traffic, don't forget the $4.00 toll.

          I would consider Bainbridge Island.

George, consider this: under all the "high-tech" is a bunch of logging, and loggers. This area was once famous for coal (yes, Newcastle was named after the town in England) fruit and of course, fishing. Some shipping of course, and then later, Boeing.

This whole area is blue collar, kinda inbred and dumb. Rednecks attack as soon as you get out of where the yuppies are. If you like girls who spit, or chew tobacco, head any direction for 120 miles: Meth, addiction, teen pregnancy, welfare and illiteracy is the norm only a few miles from where I sit, about 8 miles from a major Boeing facility.

There is intelligence only through the I-405 corridor. Basically, King County is where you wanna be if you plan on having a job in anything high-tech.

Come crash on my super comfy futon for a week, run around and look at stuff. Public transoprtation is excellent throughout most of King County. Hell, you can borrow an E30 from several people including me while you are here. I get thumbs up every day in my E30, from skaterz to people in their 40s, while new BMWs abound, everyone loves the E30 here.

And I am serious. Come crash in my spare room...you will love it here.

              Luke

NINJA EDIT: Bring your pool cue. I will introduce you to several flawless dive bars. With or without bitches, depending on what kind of bitch you want. Primped beauty queens do not hang here. A girl who would be a 4 in San Diego is an 11 here...and they often know it.

              Closing SOON!

As someone who lives in Everett of all places, I still wouldn't live in Bremerton or anywhere out in Kitsap. Been over there many, many times and have friends from there, and there's a reason none of them return after they're done with college.

Houses can be pretty cheap in Snohomish county, which is north of King County, where Seattle/Bellevue reside. If you're willing to live in methtown, might as well do it on the side of the water where all the interesting places are.

Sounds like Seattle is more up the OP's alley. Lots to do there, plenty of girls up by UW (or anywhere), and everything you could want for daily living. Bremerton is a very Navy-centric town, and the parts I've been to (off-base) were pretty sketch to be honest. Not saying there aren't nicer areas, but I don't really see it as a place for a youngish guy who likes to party and has no affiliation with the Navy.

I will second the Portland, Vancouver area. If I was to move from Vancouver to Oregon it would be in the Beaverton area I think, so check out that area too.

^This. I grew up in renton and know how it is.

But don't believe Luke, public transportation in the puget sound area is decades behind most other major citys.

There are a few events that happen here such as the PCA Driver Skills day and a few autocrosses, but HPDE's go down at Pacific Raceways.
