    Not until today:

Bremelo: a term coined by Sir Mix-a-Lot referring to unattractive women that frequent or reside in Bremerton, WA with the intent or inclination to pursue relations with US Naval personnel stationed there. Bremelos can frequently be distinguished by, but are not limited to, women wearing satin jackets with ship names on them or having noticeably half-permed hairstyles.

    I'm a little scared.

Thanks Luke - really great description. Just what I needed. Gives me a better feel. I might take you up on that couch offer. I just need to get some work done, finish my suspension re-furb, gas up, and head up there.

Chicks in their 20's bug the ever living shit out of me. Vagina's don't mellow out till they are about 30. Plus, I like them kinda MILF-ie anyways.

I think I'm going to have to decide weather I want to rent in a trendy/fun area, or buy something in hick-ville.

What is your price range and home expectations?

If you look in the Tacoma area, check out Fircrest, which is where I live. It is basically Tacoma, but it is technically its own city. Basically a quiet area with a population of about 6,000. Most people are either a bit older or younger families, so it stays quiet. Super safe, so you don't have to worry about break-ins or car theft (I think it was rated the safest city in WA). Only about 10 minutes away from the Tacoma Mall, so any shopping you need to do is close. Also, the property value is pretty high, so when the market rebounds you'll make some pretty good money on your investment. But homes are still affordable.

low end/foreclosures/1-2 bedroom starter homes or condos. But I'm not sure I want to go with a condo. I was going to post in "general" about that some time later.

Price range? There is a (I think) 2 bedroom that is exactly that just down the street from me. It's been on the market for a long time, so there must be some unrealistic expectations from the bank on what they want.... But I think it is in the low $200Kish.

There are condos on the waterfront in Tacoma. Super nice, but I wouldn't expect them to hold much value. They are pretty new and I think their value tanked big-time with the market. Also, I don't think downtown Tacoma has become as awesome (yet) as some people expected, so that has hurt their value.

Tacoma has a lot of older homes with character that need a facelift. Big value in places like this (as I am sure you are well aware). The ol' "they don't make 'em like they used to."

Also, if you need a real estate agent in the Tacoma area, let me know. The guy we worked with on our house was amazing. Honest, worked hard, very helpful. Looking to find the right house for you; not just sell you a house and be on your way.

I'd reccomend bellingham (at least it's close enough to some major cities) but we have crappy jobs, houses are expensive, and we have tons of smelly hippies and left wing enviro-wackos. On the plus side we have a ton of parks and trails, lakes, mountains, oceans, etc. And you're on the I-5 corridor.

I hate the seattle area though, I could never live there. Way, way too much traffic, taxes are even higher, but better jobs.

I could never reccomend living on the peninsula unless you want to be isolated.

I'd also say avoid Everett at all costs.

and the mt baker highway, which is better since there's less traffic once you get past the little towns.

They host a few, but it's irrelevant because there are way more at Pacific (they cost 200 instead of 125) and Pacific is a real track, not an airport like Bremerton. In any case, it would still be nice to be by Bremerton but I'm much rather be closer to Pacific if I was choosing a "track" to live by.

                        definitely

we have mission raceway just across the border, which is somewhere inbetween bremerton raceway and pacific. It's a real track, but it's fairly short and mostly flat.

I also forgot we do have WWU, which is dominated by young women.

I'm not into tracking my car. I do have a kart -that if I don't sell might take up there.

Q: Can lowered cars get on and off the ferry easily?

No problem at all. Ferry fees sure suck though!

Still considering Bremerton? :-/ I live in Everett (of all places) and there's no way I'd live in Bremerton.
