You guys are over rating the ferry.

Look George, from Bremerton to seattle you only pay car and driver. That comes out to $14 for as many people your car can fit. Seattle is 75 miles away. So 75/25=3. 25 is E30 gas mileage. 3*$3 a gallon for gas and you are $9 in. Ferry is slightly shorter way more relaxing and "unique".

Coming back home is where they get you. With 5 people it can be like $35 But driving home is roughly 20 minutes more traffic free.

I live in the northern part of Kitsap county and like it. I'm in probably the smallest town here, Hansville, but it's still only a 40 min drive to Bainbridge/Seattle ferry, or 20 min to Kingston/Edmonds, which will put you about 20 min north of seattle. I'm in a 3 bed 2 bath 2 car garage house for just under $200k. I commute back and forth to Silverdale every day for work and see E30's quite often I drive my E30 M3, 325is, or E46 Wagon and always get a light flash here and there.

If I were you I'd look into the north end of Kitsap County.

I'm single and live in the boonies yes. However I'm still close enough to everything that I enjoy.

            To each his own.
