Depends if you have more time than money. If so, then you could save it with enough time. If not, go buy a nice shiny new center section. IMHO, at least.

Negative ghostrider I got these bumpers down here in California locally from pandaboo911 he has such red hair I didn't even see him at first. But he has a nice 1984 318 I with m-tech exterior and nice interior with an S52 swap

I'm just collecting parts for my 84 and this was a little off focus in regards to the n54 project I have going on. I am buying a clutch setup and a 034 for motorsports surge tank here soon for the swap though.

Sorry, I hate using my phone

ive had my car for three years and it's never had a o2 sensor. Ordered one. I'm hoping it will help smooth out the revs. Sounds like she's getting a little to much fuel at times. And it might fix the occasional idle surging at a light. After I do my sensor I think I will research valve adjustments and have that as my next obstical.

Score, been picking some brains about coding the msd80/81 from the 335i in order to do a 6 speed swap, shouldnt have many struggles getting that motor to start on a bench before making mounts and starting it in the car.

I emailed the shop yesterday, sadly it's mostly a body shop so they have one mechanic actually doing the work. Which is to say that it's slow going.

Keith bought my (new) old drivetrain so he's seen both the carnage of the old car and the hope of the new.
