glad you made it out relatively uninjured. cars can be replaced, it sucks to replace them but be happy that it kept you from being hurt worse.

That sucks, best now to take stock of what the cost is going to be to return it back. Start a spread sheet at get to figuring out the cost. Unless you have receipts from actual repair shops, they are going to want to total it..
If the the insurance company does pay to total it, you are going to have a branded title. You may be money ahead to find another straight shell, and transfer what you can from the old one to the new one, or repair it yourself. Here in lies the problem with insurance for older/modified cars, unless someone springs for the collector insurance, the company doesn't care and will total it. What ever you decide, you will want to upgrade your insurance so that the next time this happens you can have your insurance based on an appraised or agreed upon value, rather than market or KBB (as much as we all think highly of our modified E30's, those mod's go against the value unless you have documentation to install cost from a shop.)
I say start looking for straight shell to transfer as much as possible from the shell.1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)

sorry for your loss, clean clean cab.
I got a $2800 payout when my 87' eta with 200k got rear ended. Bought it back for $100. Hold out as long as you can as said before, and be prepared with comps for sale in the area, helped me a lot that there were a lot of clean e30s on the market.
Some of us should conspire and post our cars with high prices on C/L for you to print out...Comment

Seems like just yesterday you joined this forum and I and I'm sure a lot of other people thought that this was a phase and you would be gone shortly and nothing would happen to that car. But let me just tell you that is just plain sexy. And from someone who gave you shit when you started, I am sincerely sorry for your loss and hope that this car can make a recovory, and if it can't, that another e30 is in your future.
