Ya I decided to go with the 6k cuz ya the 8k is too blue for me and looks like poop lol.

And damn sorry to hear about those DDM's. Ya I'm staying away from those.

And Austin is hooking me up with some by the end of this week soo I'm pretty excited to get those bad boys on!

my first set of 3k 55w H3s from DDM (before they renamed themselves - yeah, think about that) turned a horrible brown/orange after about 5 years. the 6k 55w H1s are turning green, and one side isn't as bright as the other now. don't kid yourselves guys - it's cheap crap. it works nice when it works, but don't expect it to last.

Yeah I had 8000's now im going to 6000. I run 3000 in the high beams for fun. Jumper the 30 to 30 in the relays and run high and low for some real bright fun.

Dont do 8K... its too blue...
6k is the best... been using HID's xentec super slim for past 5 years, love it.

Nope, don't need the harness. I got the standard size ballasts but they aren't that large, I didn't have a problem finding a place to mount them.

I didn't want any hint of blue and I wasn't disappointed. VVME FTW.

I have a set of DDM HID's and I love them. Simple and efficient. Great price too. I rock 5600k. Its basically white daylight.

Another question. I have smileys and will the light output be the same when you have the city lights on with an HID kit? Pretty much, will it work?
City lights really don't make that much of a difference at all, unless you have a LED bulb in it.

I recommend a 6k 35w HID. I ran those in my NA ellipsoids and they were awesome. They were just a slight tint of blue, but not too blue. Really brighten things up without being overpowering. IMO, the best color for an HID.

I have ordered expensive and cheap and I have experienced no difference but Im willing to bet some are crap based on how many cars I see with only one working. Im running ebay ones in the E30 and have had no issues. My E46 and Durango have some higher end ones and I cannot tell the difference. The ebay seller even replaced one bulb for free because I told him it took longer to warm up than the other.

So they include the lens to focus the beam correctly and remove the reflectors? Oh they don't.. then they are DOT illegal.

it's an older link, but the information is still valid.

    From Hella's own website

Hahah, ya I haven't heard anything about that going on in Washington. Guy I work with got some cheap $30 HID kit from ebay just to try it out. They are positioned horribly and look like shit as well.

But no I don't wanna blind people I've been that other person before where I seriously have to squint at the right to find the white line so I didn't crash
