What's your honest opinion on 24v swaps in an e30?

If I wanted a great DD e30 with little to no maint required + decent - great performance I'd go 24V.

I'm more a purist and don't care for the look of the motor inside the E30, however the cost / power ratio cannot be beat.. at least in the BMW motor lineup.
