driving the 5 to longview for 50 miles sounds like the opposite of a road trip.

I wanted to see the pacific ocean like a good pnw newb so I drove out there in August by myself. My boss recommended I check out smuggler's cove, so I went out through the forest on hwy 6 to tillamook, up 101 and back on 26. It was beautiful along those parts of the coast, some great outlook pulloff spots. I'll post a pic when I'm back in pdx at my computer

Yeah, this looks way better than HWY 26 or 6.

I wonder if there are any local girls, besides me?

I hope this beach drive doesn't turn out like that last time I went on a drive near Hillsboro/HWY 30 where a bunch of e30 guys were running stop signs and peeling out right in front of onlookers, acting like shitheads, making e30 people look bad. I hate that man. If you want to do that shit, do it where there aren't other cars/people around.

I was very unimpressed with some of the local e30 owners here, so hopefully this one will be better.

Were you the one who was behind me on the drive? I was in the white coupe, leading everyone in front.

Ah yes, I felt like you were tailing me a lot of the time as we were driving on those back roads. But I bet that you felt like the people behind you were tailing you... The drive was fun, but it just felt like everyone wanted to race and show off like how fast they could go... I think you were also one of the ones who sped right through the stop sign at the top of Germantown Road, right? I fuckin' hate that, just because we are in a big car club group doesn't mean that everyone can act like immature ricer fuckheads.
