Who's interested in another PNW Tech Day?

I'm not talking about the one before the picnic where you see demonstrations, but one where you work on your own car and get your hands dirty ;) I usually host a spring Corrado tech day but there is very little interest this year so I thought about hosting another E30 one again. (Last one was back in 2007, pics here: http://www.epitom3.com/pics/cramer/E.../sIMG_1175.htm )

I know there is a detail day being planned for spring time so I don't want to conflict with that, or the E30 picnic. My thought would be late April time frame. I'll host it at my place unless a better spot becomes available. Post up if you're interested and what projects you have to get done. Last time we did Derek's transmission swap but that is a bit more involved then I like, unless you come with your own team of helpers like Derek did ;)

Keep in mind, you don't have to have a project to work on to attend.

^^This. I have RTAB's, Diff mount, and SS brake lines/clutch line to do as well.

I also have a coil over install in mind, could be a productive session that covers quite a bit. Either way I am in to come help/participate!

I've been putting off swapping an e36 rack into my late, airbag 325i. From what I've read, it's fairly simple (I have the parts), I just need a dremel to clearance the firewall, and some way to make/alter the steering shaft boot bracket that bolts on to the firewall. If someone can lend me a Dremel, I could do it that day.

Subframes can be a big job, specially if they are stuck to the body!

At this point, I will be hosting it in Olympia, so I have all the basic tools, air tools, jacks, press etc needed for the jobs listed so far, but I only have one set. So if you can bring any items you deem necessary to work, do it :)

Late April date work for everyone so far? (say 28th? or maybe May 5?)

And helpers are always useful so come on out with or without a project :)

I am down to come by for the day and hang out. I wouldn't suggest trying to get a subframe dropped and reinstalled in one day, but I would love to help do one anyways. I would like to gain more experience/knowledge in this area
