Microbrew pubs are one of my weaknesses.... We are trying to stay in Portland and drive down to Eugene but nothing is concrete yet. My wife does enjoy hiking so I think we'll check out some of the places you guys mentioned. Thanks for the input

Once you visit, you won't want to leave.

Yes it is beautiful, scenic and right off the highway, in the beautiful gorge, near the city.

I dont want to put it down I recomend it highly. But as far as tall its not tall....

it is a 500 foot waterfall.... whereas yosemite falls is a 2400 foot waterfall a half mile up....

I recomend everyon see it its awesome but dont expect a 2400 foot waterfall...

waterfall trivia? the colombia river itself near the nearby dam was the 2nd largest waterfall in the world you could hear it from miles away. But they dammed the river its near the bridge of the gods maybe 15 20 miles from multnomah falls.

Theres a good chance that is what you are talking about. It was never the tallest but the 2nd largest in the world at one time.

the third largest in the world was also on the colombia

Believe it or not for some reason it was not in oregon but in washington....

the worlds 7th largest waterfall is by oregon city... I think its even closer to portland than multnomah falls. Its called williamette falls.

Honestly, the more places we visit the more reasons we come up with to relocate. The NYC attitude has expanded into our pleasant little town and while NYC is cool, sometimes I get tired of the miserable attitudes. Not all New Yorkahs are miserable but they just seem too rushed, too stressed and I'm tired of it. Who knows what we shall find

I love visiting NYC, but it makes me appreciate Portland every time I come home.
