Looks like someone pulled a crackhead move and was at their doorstep within the hour "like a boss." I'm confused as to why you did go get it after getting off the phone

He said that, he had to go to work in an hour and I live 2 hours away. It was 10pm so I did not have the time to get there. I had made arrangements offered to give him $500 non refundable deposit on paypal. He stated my word was good enough, I guess not. Oh well, I thought maybe I would take a shot on here and see if maybe someone here purchased it and wanted to sell her off for a profit. I even offered to pay him more than he was asking for his OBO price. Like I said just taking a shot that I can find and get her back in the family for my uncle that passed aways son. I had hoped to get the car do a restore on it and give it to him when he turned 23-25, a reasonable age that he would not kill himself in it or turn around and sell it off for the flavor of the day.

From the sounds of it the seller probably realized after all the buzz that it was worth considerably more and pulled the ad to resell it at a much higher price.

Honestly, I don't think whoever bought it would let go because if he bought it at the said price, he would not sell it for less than market value if they can even let it go in the first place, or even let it be known that they are the ones who bought it.

I called and talked to the guy who was selling that M3 the morning after he posted it up and he said that around 11pm he had about 20 ppl at his house who wanted the car and so it turned into a bidding war and he said he sold it to a dealer for $13,000.... Those were the words from the guy who put it up for sale. He said he bought the car about 6-7 years ago for 6k and didnt know whats the big deal about them now and was surprised that so much ppl wanted it...

Haha that's insane, he had 20 people show up that night and probably didn't even give an address! They traced the number and came in helicopters lol. Who can blame them right? At least he got fair value for it.

There was a newly divorced lady from Eastside who sold a new Porsche for a hundred bucks on Seattle Times. She had a major pent up grudge against her ex husband.

I think he probably has the complete list of owners and locations of all M cars in WA state.
Knowledge is power. He knows someone who knows something :pimp:

Thanks for the info, I know Matt so I will get in touch with him. I am not opposed to paying what the car is worth. I guess I tend to do things on my word and try to be nice, I would never just show up at someones home. Bieng old school will never get me a deal I guess, but that's not what I was looking for anyhow.
