    SNELL rating makes it a race helmet. If you don't have SNELL 2005 or better most clubs won't let you on the track. And yes, there is still open face SNELL helmets..

    I have seen moto-x helmets and DOT helmets used at Sykart, so I would be surprised if they really check for SNELL rated.

    I'm not talking about ratings, I'm talking about full face vs open face, IE the two pictures I posted. The black helmet is full or closed face which covers your whole face, including your jaw and chin. The open face does not cover your whole face and they won't allow it, regardless of ratings. It's about the bits of anatomy that the helmet protects, not the rating. Face, not race.

      That's where the disconnect was, I kept reading RACE, not FACE. Guess that's what happens when you spend Monday in a drunken haze..

        Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

            Hahahaha. I figured you just read it wrong, especially if you're the guy driving the car in your signature.

              If I had that helmet, I would drive around town with the convertible top down while wearing it.

                  Oh, put me down for a yes, but I won't know for sure for a few more days. Do you mind if I invite a couple BMW friends who don't have E30's?

                      I'm in.

                      We should post our current fastest times on that track too. Oh, and we should all do 2 races at least.
                      My fastest time is:
                      26.5 (9hp)
                      27.3 (6hp)
                      Weight = 145 - 150

                          Aren't they about due for a new track layout? They were changing every 6 months for a while there..

                            I hope so. There aren't enough places to pass on the current layout.
