    Feeler: 95' zf320 trans

Not really sure which route I'm gonna go with my 24v swap, so I wanted to see if there would be any interest in my zf320 5-speed trans.

How much do these trans usually go for? Considering it has roughly 165-175k?
Shifts great, makes no noise, and is in overall good condition.

    Lets discuss!

They are normally worth a decent amount. I would say post this up on e36 forum and it should go fast. I am enjoying my zf320 but I have never driven on a sideways g260

What would you consider a decent amount? I personally wanna use the g260 because of the rebuilt shift linkage/z4 shifter combo/m20 single mass LW flywheel/s3.73 lsd

I reused all my shifter parts. I dunno how reliable this is but the person who bought this ZF trans paid 850 for it.

            One word. M3

I think price is a reason most people stick with G260.

Ah good to know! Doesn't really give any drunken details... So 500 for a transmission? Still seems a bit steep but it is M3.

Surprising, right? It was a little steep, but I am pretty sure that it was all purchased from a German wrecking yard, so prices will be steeper than your average CL dumbass.

                    Interesting.

My biggest dilemma is what combo I should use.
For the zf, I don't plan to upgrade the dual mass flywheel due to budget constraints.

Makes sense. Brad you are welcome to try out the ZF trans in my car.

I hear you there, I was amazed how cheap this F1 flywheel was.

How much did the f1 flywheel run you? If I stick with the zf, my plan was just
To replace the clutch components and slap it back together. BUT the flywheel is tempting. And I absolutely hate dual mass buuuuushiiiiiiet

Hah ya I drove around on an M42 with dual mass for 5 years.. LOL

Previous owner had the clutch and flywheel done. Here is what he posted regarding price

                          M3 clutch- ~$300
                          F1 racing 14.5lb flywheel- $255

Only been driving on it for ~100 miles. I have no shift boot or rubber seal in the shifter area, can hear some chatter from the flywheel but it wasn't noticeable with the boot on

Here's a link to a guy asking $450 for his ZF320 and $90 for his driveshaft.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. the ZF310/320 came in tons of cars, 325i, 328i, 525i, 528i, etc. etc. It's not an "M3" transmission.

if you paid $850 for one you got ripped off.
