    Heater problem.

My heater only works when I drive, and it does not start actually blowing heat until I hit about 40 MPH. And even when I am driving, the speed of the heat being blown is very slow. I suspect that it has something to do with the blower motor, but I am not sure. Any thoughts of what this could be? I am getting really tired of having to drive down the road with my window down in this 35 degree weather, and in the rain. It gets old fast...

It would not be your blower motor. You should have heat anytime. Have you done changes to your cooling system recently?

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

Resistor probably took a crap dude. Does it work at all the speeds? Does it make a whining noise?

out dated sig is out dated

So i drained my radiator and I ran the cleaner through my car. The first 15 miles the car ran hotter, but I let it sit for about 4 hours and I came back and started it up and drove it for another 15 miles and it drives at average running temp, and it idles just ever so slightly above half. I let the car idle for 10 minuets and it didn't go above halfway between the half and 3/4 mark on the coolant gauge. So if anyone is experiencing the problems I described earlier I would give that radiator cleaner a try.
Sounds like you are burning coolant or failed to bleed it correctly. You need more coolant and did you ever fix the clutch fan?!

Yes I replaced all 7 main cooling hoses and a new thermostat. Bleeding it took over an hour to bleed this car after everything was done. Bleeding e30's are a pain in the ass!!! And none of the speeds work. It really just depends on my speed.

Sounds like your blower motor isn't blowing at all and the only air your getting is just being forced into the cabin from speed?

Are you getting power to the blower motor?

Sounds like you hooked up the resistor wrong when you replaced it or you didn't replace the fuse

Yup resistor or fuse issue unless your blower motor was whining before I doubt it went out suddenly.

He's already replaced the resistor so I assume its the fuse.

dont see where he mentioned he replaced the resistor in this thread and if he did there is no way to fuck up installing it

He has like 3 or 4 threads related to heating issues.

So have you checked fuse? I'd start with replacing the resistor and fuse

I will replace the fuse and re-bleed the stupid lines. And if after that it still has issues ill replace the resister if need be.
